Its day 13 of the build and the camp continues to reverberate to the sound of hammers, drills and the generator.
The roof structure for the dining area is complete and ready for the thatchers to work their magic. In the meantime the hard graft to lay foundations for the concrete plinth is well underway.
Over at the house the walls are all rendered and the window frames all in.
Kevin and I have settled into our bush life. My favourite part of the day is first light when its a little cooler. Day time temperatures are now reaching 40 degrees and the night isn't much cooler!!
We had a visit from a herd of Thornicroft Giraffe yesterday afternoon and as I sit this morning I am watching 4 Southern Ground Hornbill on the sandbank opposite camp.
